HK to Macau bus

My boyfriend and I took the bus from Prince Edward to Macau for a two days trip. We bought our round-trip tickets a week before and arrived 20 minutes early to queue up for the bus. We were free to choose our seats when boarding the bus. The bus stopped at an artificial island near the airport we got off for immigration procedures and get back on the bus , then crossed the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge to Macau. At the Macau Border Gate, we got off for immigration procedures for second time. After completing them, we found our travel bus again and officially entered Macau. We chose the New Lisboa Hotel but could have gotten off at Sands Macao or MGM. The travel bus waited for 20 minutes at every immigration checkpoint. However, we felt a bit stressed going through the border checkpoint as we didn't register for the Macau Express Lane, which was the only downside of the trip.
