Miho Shrine is a very important shrine in Japanese mythology. It enshrines Mihotsuhime-no-Mikoto and Kotoshiro-no-Mikoto. Mihotsuhime-no-Mikoto is the wife of Okuninushi-no-Mikoto, the main deity of Izumo Taisha Shrine. She is also the goddess who brought rice ears from Takama-ga-hara to Awabara-no-Kuni and brought farming to the earthly world. Kotoshiro-no-Mikoto is the eldest male god of Okuninushi-no-Mikoto and the son that Okuninushi-no-Mikoto relied on the most.
