#cityplaybook #georgia #tbilisi My visit to Jvari Monastery was really nice. I went early to skip the crowds, and the drive up was cool—the higher we got, the better the view became. When I stepped out of the car, the wind hit me first, fresh and strong, with that crisp mountain air. The monastery itself is small but has this quiet, ancient feel. The best part, though, is the view. You look down and see the Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers meeting far below, twisting together, beautiful. One thing to know: women have to cover their heads inside. I didn’t have a scarf, but they had some at the entrance to borrow, so no big deal. Inside, it’s dim and cool, with old stone walls and candlelight. Simple, but it makes you stop and look. I liked that it wasn’t packed—just a few locals praying and the odd tourist taking photos. If you’re around Tbilisi, it’s a chill place to check out. And yeah, the view is pretty great.
