Sangequanzi Beacon Tower

🛣️A spot along National Highway 335. You can see a mound from afar, and your first reaction is "beacon tower." 🏜️There is a fence and a national protection cup on site, showing the Sangequanzi Beacon Tower. The beacon tower is located on a platform about 100 meters south of the Muba Highway. The terrain is flat, high in the south and low in the north. The beacon tower is square in plan, trapezoidal in section, and four-story in elevation. The base is 4 meters long from north to south, about 2.8 meters wide from east to west, and gradually narrows upward. It is about 4 meters high. It is a rammed earth building with a grass and mud surface and a rammed layer 12 cm thick. The middle of the beacon tower has a perforated wooden bed, and the top is partially collapsed. According to research, this beacon tower is a military facility built on the northern route of the Silk Road during the Qing Dynasty. 🏰The beacon tower provides strong evidence for the history and culture of the Western Regions, the transportation routes of past dynasties, and the determination of the historical city site. 🏆In March 2013, it was announced by the State Council as the seventh batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
