Artistic Homestay · A Must-Stay in Nanjing Xinjiekou

Visiting Nanjing, I really fell in love with this niche homestay! Located in Xinjiekou, the Yushe Art Homestay offers an unbeatable location and accommodation experience. Here’s a share of my stay experience👇 🏠 Amazing Location • Only 200 meters from the subway station, landmarks like Confucius Temple and Presidential Palace are basically within 15 minutes • Right downstairs is a popular snack street, where you can enjoy Nanjing specialties like duck blood vermicelli soup and beef potstickers for days without repeating 🛌 The Secret to Sleeping In Naturally • Zero-pressure mattress + memory foam pillow combo, spine-friendly and helps you fall asleep quickly • Double-layer soundproof glass completely blocks out the hustle and bustle of Xinjiekou, even sensitive sleepers can rest well • 24-hour air energy water heater, so you can take a relaxing hot shower even if you come back late at night 🎨 Full Artistic Atmosphere The homestay’s public areas regularly feature contemporary art exhibitions, and the decorative paintings in the rooms are all sourced by the host from independent artists, making every photo look artsy 💡 Niche Experience Recommendations 1. Get up early and try authentic Pi Du noodles at nearby Pingshi Street 2. The front desk can help book hand-brew coffee classes at nearby cafes 3. Walk 10 minutes to Nantai Alley to browse vintage shops ⚠️ Practical Tips • The last subway train is at 11:30 PM, night owls remember to plan your time • The homestay doesn’t provide breakfast but there are plenty of brunch options downstairs

Dr. Sun Yat-Sen's Mausoleum

Nanjing is a city perfect for a relaxing trip. Upon arrival, we first visited Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum. We ascended the lush stone steps, a bit tiring, but from the summit, we gazed over the entire grounds, a sense of grandeur and majesty. In the afternoon, we visited the Confucius Temple and Qinhuai River Scenic Area, where we took a boat ride to admire the lanterns and experience the ancient charm of the "Ten Miles of Qinhuai." The next day, after lunch, we visited the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum. The stone statue path was magnificent, and a stroll through it felt like traveling back in time. In the evening, we strolled through Laomendong, where small shops lined the streets and a chill atmosphere. On the third day, a visit to Nanjing is a must. I chose to ascend the Ming City Wall at Zhonghuamen Castle to experience the grandeur of the ancient city. In the afternoon, we strolled around Xinjiekou and sampled Nanjing's famous salted duck and duck blood vermicelli soup. In the evening, we strolled through Xuanwu Lake Park, where the beautiful scenery of the lake and mountains was truly relaxing. On our final day, we opted for a more relaxed itinerary, spending the morning in a cafe, writing postcards and daydreaming. We had a quick lunch of Nanjing soup dumplings before heading back to the train station for our return trip. Although it was only four days, the city's fusion of ancient and modern times left a deep impression on me.
