Osaka, Japan, you must go

Transportation Tips: Kintetsu Nara Must-see attraction: Kasuga Taisha Shrine Recommended hotel: Kaiseki Nara Kasuga Okuyama Tsukihitei Must-try food: Daibutsu pudding Honpo Shopping Guide: Senjuan Yoshimune Nara Sui Main Store Only once in a lifetime Let's go for a walk There are many things in this world that will surprise you It has a story and a history. In addition to Osaka and Kyoto, the most popular tourist attraction in Kansai, Japan, is the historic Todaiji Temple in Nara, which was built in 728 AD. In 1998, it was listed as a World Cultural Heritage as part of the "Cultural Properties of Ancient Nara". The Great Buddha Hall of Todaiji Temple is the largest wooden building in the world. The most famous Nara Buddha, "Vairocana Buddha", is enshrined in the hall. Todaiji Temple was burned down in 1180 and 1567 due to political unrest. What we see today is the Todaiji Temple that was rebuilt in 1709 after 25 years of construction. It also took 8 years to recast the Buddha in the Great Buddha Hall. Todaiji Temple, also known as the "Temple of the Four Heavenly Kings of the Golden Light", was built by Emperor Shomu of Japan during the Nara period, who made a wish for all creatures in the world to be happy. The main gate of Todaiji Temple is called "Nandamon", and the "Vajra Warriors" guarding both sides of the gate are majestic and awe-inspiring. Walking outside the magnificent Great Buddha Hall, you can see the largest wooden building in the world. The first thing that comes into view upon entering the hall is the "Vairocana Buddha", which is 15 meters tall, with a face 5 meters long, and a kind and amiable appearance. It is revered as the founder of the Avatamsaka Sutra. Under the huge wooden pillar to the right rear of the Buddha, there is a square wooden hole with a length, width and depth of about 37x30x108 (cm). It is said that it is as big as the nostrils of the Buddha, so it is also called the "Buddha Nostril". As long as believers can successfully pass through it, they can be blessed by the Buddha and be free from illness and disaster. Therefore, many believers are eager to try, regardless of whether their bodies will be stuck in the hole, in order to obtain the protection of the Buddha. In addition to the solemn Buddha statues in the temple that inspire awe, the herds of sika deer roaming around the temple grounds are also a special sight at Todaiji Temple. Many people were seen feeding the deer with deer biscuits. #hkfood #localtourism #goodplaceforparents #familytravel #beaches ###I miss you so much

Todaiji Temple, the most important and oldest Buddhist temple in Nara, is said to be the largest wooden structure in the world. It is also registered as a World Heritage Site along with 7 other shrines and important places in Nara. Inside the temple, there is the Daibutsuden, or the wooden temple, which is said to be the largest in the world. It enshrines a large bronze statue of Buddha, 14.98 meters high and weighing about 500 tons, cast by craftsmen of the Tempyo period (729-764). #TeamSouth
