Little Lion Head Mountain, located at the mouth of Xindian River in Xindian District, New Taipei City, is named for its resemblance to a small lion crouching above Bitan. It is also known as Little Lion Head Mountain or Little Lion Mountain. The mountain features "Three Peaks and Eleven Pavilions," with each peak hosting a pavilion. The first peak has the "Lion Longevity Pavilion," the second peak has the "Youth Pavilion," and the third peak has the "Longevity Pavilion," which is the highest point at an elevation of 221 meters. There are more than ten trailheads, offering diverse routes. A round trip covering all three peaks takes approximately two hours. Lion Head Mountain is conveniently located near Xindian MRT Station and Bitan Scenic Area, making it a great choice for weekday fitness activities or weekend family outings. During certain festivals, the Bitan Bridge hosts laser water dance performances, so picking the right day can double your joy!
