I thought Erhai Lake was already beautiful, until I went to Lugu Lake!

Just came back from Lugu Lake, let me share my thoughts. Some people say it's worth the visit, while others regret going. In my opinion, when it comes to travel, no matter what others say, those are their experiences. You can only truly understand the feeling by experiencing it yourself. I visited during the off-season in March, there were no blooming pear flowers, but I still found it incredibly beautiful, especially when seeing the gradient from emerald green to deep blue, all of us exclaimed 'wow'. The only downside of Lugu Lake, I feel, is the distance. It takes 4 hours one way from Lijiang Ancient Town to Lugu Lake, and if you add a chartered car to circle the lake + a ride on a pig trough boat, it's 5 hours. A round trip in one day is very tiring, so it's best to arrange a two-day and one-night stay for Lugu Lake. Transportation: There is an official bus from Lijiang Ancient Town to Lugu Lake, see my last picture, it's only a few dozen yuan, don't carpool or take illegal taxis. Chartered car around the lake: If needed, the bus driver can arrange for a driver from the same company for you, the lake is 70km around, 200 yuan, fits 4 people, so it's only 50 per person. You can find people to share the ride on the bus. Pig trough boat: The price is in the second to last picture, quite expensive. We chose route 3, but there was no sea of flowers/grass sea in March, we just visited the Princess Island. If you can't find people to share the boat, don't bother booking it during the off-season, it's not cost-effective. Accommodation: We stayed at 'Lugu Lake Pusu Mijing Homestay', the environment and service were quite good. As for accommodation, everyone can choose on their own, there are many such homestays along the lake.
