The landscape at the confluence of the Yarlung Tsangpo River and the Nyang River

The confluence of the Yarlung Tsangpo River and the Nyang River is located in Caiba Village, Qiangna Township, Milin County. The Nyang River is one of the three major tributaries of the Yarlung Tsangpo River and is the mother river of the Nyingchi region. At the confluence, the Nyang River is clear and rapid, while the Yarlung Tsangpo River is turbid and flows slowly. The clear and the turbid waters are distinctly separated. After the Nyang River flows into the Yarlung Tsangpo River, it flows upstream, forming the beautiful spectacle of the river flowing backwards.
