Oriental Switzerland ~ Lulang Town

Lulang Town, located in Bayi District, Nyingchi City, Tibet Autonomous Region, is a beautiful town known as the 'Oriental Switzerland.' It boasts unique natural conditions, with snow-capped mountains, forests, pastures, and lakes interwoven into a stunning landscape. The town is situated at an altitude of 3,000 meters, with lush vegetation and high oxygen levels. Surrounded by forests, the town exudes a pastoral charm. Nyingchi City is about 70 kilometers away from the town. Along the way, the Sejila Mountain Pass observation deck is a must-visit. The Sejila Mountain Pass is one of the best spots to view Mount Namjagbarwa. From May to June each year, the Sejila Mountain is covered with rhododendrons, which is truly breathtaking. When visiting Lulang Town, you must not miss the Lulang Nami Stone Pot Chicken. The stone pot chicken at Nami Stone Pot Manor is very distinctive, and you can also try matsutake mushrooms, which are fragrant and appetizing. Driving from Nyingchi to Lulang is quite convenient, and there are also buses available. The fare is 55 yuan, and the journey takes about three hours. During this visit to Lulang, I stayed at the Nyingchi Evergrande Hotel, which is just a 180-meter walk to Lulang International Town. The hotel offers first-class service and environment, and the breakfast is excellent, truly five-star quality.
