Templo de Santo Domingo Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Lets visit A temple full of Gold!!
This old church was built during the colonization of Mexico by the Spaniards and afterwards it became a fort during some military interventions.
Its beloved that 95% of all the gold in the temple was lost during the last centuries but still even today, is as gorgeous as you can imagine.
Probably is the most beautiful church in Oaxaca, even more impressive than the city Catedral.
Around the temple there is a botanical garden, a museum, a plaza, restaurants and a lot of shops.
Please be respectful of the people praying 🙏

Oaxaca is one of the most bio-resourced states in Mexico, with more than 50% of Mexican species claiming sovereignty in Oaxaca. In particular, the birdwatchers in Oaxaca will be in paradise because the state is home to 70% of the more than 700 species of birds in Mexico. Hiking in the mountains, strolling through the mountains, strolling through the mountains, you will have a better chance to see some of the beloved birds in the area.
In Mount Caragua, you can see two amazing petrified waterfalls, the result of centuries of calcium-rich springs, which are now carved on stones. It is. Even more amazing is that there are two man-made swimming pools in the rock. The pool overlooks the blue-green mountains in the distance, and a lonely tree grows from the edge of the cliff.

White pyramid in Mexico
#timetotravel
Monte Albán is a set of ruins located in Oaxaca Mexico and it's believed that the name of this place came because when the Spaniards arrive the mountain was full of white trees so they called it Monte alban.
After some exploration they realize that they were a lot of ruins of an ancient city under the trees and they called the site by that name the place is beautiful there is a ticket to buy and it's not easy to get there but usually when you take a tour they will take you there and they will show you around there is a lot of history a lot of centuries all constructions also you can see some very interesting paintings and designs that are craved on the stones.

Museum of Cultures of Oaxaca, Santo Domingo Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
This is the one must-see museum in Oaxaca
This is a comprehensive historical museum of Oaxacan culture up to the present time. It is housed in the beautiful monastery buildings adjoining the Templo de Santo Domingo. The museum walks us through chronologically from ancient times to modern-day Oaxaca. Other halls are thematic, featuring Oaxacan medicine, music, language and pottery – and show that much of the cultural traditions have endured. I was surprised with its huge offerings, and amazed by the stunning architecture. The exhibits are well-executed too. I recommend you to plan a visit to this museum towards the end of your visit in Oaxaca. You will naturally like the vibe, culture and landscape of Oaxaca. After you’ve some feelings and understanding about the beautiful city of Oaxaca, you will naturally understand more about the huge offerings of this wonderful museum even though you’re not a Spanish speaking person (this is because most of the exhibition information is written in Spanish).
