2024.8.1-2 Sightseeing in Penang before a trip to Europe After arriving from Singapore on a Scoot, we took a Grab to the hotel. Dinner at a nearby food court? Hawker?. I've been to Malaysia four times, but this was my first time having Bak Kut Teh. The next day, we went sightseeing until the ferry time. We took a bus to Kek Lok Si. It is a temple with a gorgeous design and a prominent tower. There is no admission fee, but the cable car used to move around the temple is paid (6 ringgits round trip). For lunch, we had Nyonya food at Gurney Plaza. Finally, we saw the famous Banksy painting near the hotel, picked up our luggage and headed to the ferry terminal.
