Feeding seagulls is best done before nine in the morning or after three in the afternoon, when they are ravenous. Tourists can then appreciate the seagulls flying and darting around in groups as a performance. Hotel recommendations: The Shandong Jiankang Licheng Ruixuan Zhanqiao Seaview Hotel is right by the Zhanqiao pier, with seaview rooms priced at just over two hundred, it really offers great value for money. I also stayed at the Qingdao St. Regis Hotel, where the high-rise view of Qingdao's night scene is absolutely stunning for over a thousand yuan. The breakfast is really sumptuous.
