Mystical Lake Surface: Himenuma on Rishiri Island

Himenuma is an artificial lake with a circumference of about 1 km, located in the Oshidomari area of Rishiri Island and surrounded by pristine forests. On clear days, you can enjoy the enchanting view of "Upside-down Rishiri Fuji" reflected on the lake's surface. A walking trail is well-maintained around the lake, making it a popular and easy 20-minute stroll. Birdwatching and seasonal flowers from spring to autumn are also highlights. At night, it becomes a beautiful stargazing spot. The nearby shop sells coffee made with water from Mount Rishiri and postcards.
