The Peranakan culture refers to the descendants born from marriages between foreign traders who came to Southeast Asia centuries ago and local women in Singapore. The essence of Peranakan culture is 'fusion', and here one can witness the blend of Chinese, Malay, and Indian cultures that have shaped Singapore. With three floors and ten galleries, the museum showcases various aspects of Peranakan culture and is well worth a visit👍👍👍. 📷📷📷📷 Besides the exhibits, the architecture of the museum itself is also a major highlight. It was originally the Tao Nan School, built in the style of a colonial bungalow in 1912 during the Straits Settlements period, a true century-old ancient building and one of Singapore's national monuments.
