#tripaway Butrint is strategically located in the eastern part of the Strait of Corfu in the extreme south of the country. It sprawls across a peninsula that is surrounded by Lake Butrint and Vivari Channel. The channel connects the lake to the Ionian Sea through a narrow sandy bar. Located in the direct proximity to the sea, the park experiences mild mediterranean climate. This means that the winters are mild and the summers are hot and dry. The archaeological heritage of Butrint is one of the most important archaeological sites in the country, containing different artefacts and structures, dating from the Iron Age up to the Middle Ages. Numerous monuments are still extant including the city walls, a late-antique baptistery, a great basilica, Roman theater and two castles. The ancient city is situated within a natural woodland with a complex ecosystems which depends on the nearby lake and channel. Nevertheless, it is this combination of cultural monuments and natural environment which makes Butrint such a unique place. The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) has listed the park as Category II. In 1992, the archaeological site joined the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites. The lagoon has been further recognized as a wetland of international importance by designation under the Ramsar Convention. Nevertheless, Lake Butrint is an Important Bird and Plant Area, because it abundant to significant bird and plant species of international importance. #visitalbania #beautifulalbania #tripaway

#tripaway Cape Merli is a private beach in the south of Albania. A fairytale vacation spot, otherwise known as the "European Maldives". The beach in the south of Saranda is not much explored by tourists, because a private villa complex is being built there. The white sand, the crystal clear sea and the steepness of the rocks with the stairs that lead to the sea after descending from the villas make Cape Merli very special. This magical place has been given the name of "Cape Merli" or Cape of the Black Bird, as centuries ago in this area among the bushes lived bird colonies. These dense moss bushes that dominated the earth were also referred to as the mythical plants of Aphrodite, which were considered a symbol of well-being and beauty. The locals have called the place ‘Cape of the Black Bird’. The ecological approach to the architecture used for the tourism project has made it possible to build a natural value system that will be implemented with human care, encouraging the Thrush to return once again. Respect for nature remains the ultimate guide to the concept of architecture. The project covers a large area and is divided into two areas respectively: Northern Peninsula This area is characterized by hotels and villas on the south side. The hotel will be five-star and will have 207 rooms, 3 luxury suites, 3 restaurants, 2 bars, conference rooms, SPA & Wellness Center. While in this part will be built a seaport for yachts with (10 parking lots), 16 Marine type villas and 4 luxury villas, each with pool. Southern Peninsula In this area will dominate the family rooms mainly a family hotel and villas which will have an extension on the east side. The hotel will have 250 rooms, suites, bars, restaurants, an amphitheater, conference rooms, SPA & Wellness Center, 2 yacht ports (with more than 90 parking spaces) as well as 33 Mediterranean type Villas, each with swimming pool. #tripaway

#tripaway Mirdita, one of the most virgin and beautiful provinces in Albania, with all-round above-ground and underground resources, with enviable mountain springs and climate, with rich flora and fauna, invites and welcomes friends, as it knows how to wait. The Durrës-Morinë highway, about 70 km of which cross the territory of Mirdita, is also a chance that creates opportunities for the use of mountain tourist resources that Mirdita has. Also the numerous works of art, give rare beauty to the whole valley of the Little Fan that traverses it. The relief of this area in the whole geographical belt, from the mountains of Kaçinar, Munella, Zepa, Bjeshkët e Oroshit, Valmor, Kroi i Bardhë to the top of Kunora, is distinguished for a diverse development of karst processes. The most special is the Uraka Stream Valley (a tributary of the Mat River), on the slopes of which are some of the most important caves. There are dozens of caves in this belt, each more interesting than the other and very complicated. Archaeological finds belonging to the Neolithic period have been discovered by chance by non-specialists in the Mercury cave, but unfortunately these findings have not aroused interest among specialists in the field. The exception is the Kusia cave of Ndue Gjoni between Mërkurth and Kurbnesh, on the left of the Uraka Stream, which was discovered and studied in 1994 by a group of Roman speleologists, together with Albanian speleologists. The study is not yet complete. According to researchers, the cave has great scientific, cultural, didactic and tourist values. It has therefore been declared a natural monument. #visitalbania #tripaway

#tripaway One of the destinations that in recent years has had a significant increase in the number of tourists is Cape Rodoni, located just a few kilometers from Tirana. This high peninsula-shaped strip of land stretches across the Adriatic Sea and offers attractive landscapes as well as several historical and cultural monuments of special importance. If during the spring the Cape starts and wears it all from a fairytale flower carpet, during the summer not a few are the ones who choose this place because of the virgin beach and the clean and fine sand. Skanderbeg Castle The cape, which is surrounded by living shrines about 25 meters high, is also known for Skanderbeg Castle. The castle located right by the sea was built by Skanderbeg around 1450 - 1452, in order to have a faster exit to the Adriatic in case of an Ottoman conquest. According to a treaty signed on February 4, 1462, in case of war with the Turks Ragusa would help Skenderbeu with its fleet that would be sent exactly to Rodon. According to Barletti's manuscripts, this castle existed until 1467, before the Turks came and destroyed it. The Venetians rebuilt the castle after 1500, and this has enabled it to arrive to this day in fairly good condition. Church of St. Anthony Very close to the Cape is the Church of St. Anthony, a monument that historically belongs to the same period of construction as that of the Castle. This building has a Romanesque-Gothic type of architecture, and today you can see traces of frescoes and other interesting elements. Thanks to the positioning near the Cape and the sea, the views that accompany the Church are truly impressive. For all its historical, cultural and geographical values, Cape Rodon is the best choice for a relaxing weekend. #visitalbania #beautifulalbania #tripaway
