Best Ancient Ruins

#familytravel We're a family with an interest in history and archeology. So it was natural to include Ephesus into our itinerary. This is an extraordinary excavation site. It's a nice example of how life and things were like back when this town was part of the Greek empire. Since it was a family trip, getting a guide made a lot of sense. I did see people with audio guides too. So if you prefer that's an option too. We went to the museum in Selçuk the day before so had some idea what we were looking at. The information boards were good and Google is pretty helpful in preparing us. You need to get an early start if you wish to enjoy this. It does get terribly hot as the day progresses. Male sure you carry enough water and something to snack on. This can take time. Also, i recommend starting with down side, so that you can save the best parts like the amphitheater, agora and library for later. Also, book tickets well in advance.
