Where the Soul Finds Stillnes

Lake Sevan, one of the world’s largest high-altitude freshwater lakes, is a true natural treasure of Armenia. In summer, it’s a place to slow down and simply be. A gentle breeze, swallows darting across the sky, and the endless blue of the lake create a peaceful atmosphere that makes you forget about time. The beautiful stone church adds a special charm to the landscape. It’s a place to pause, take in the surroundings, and perhaps feel a little closer to something greater than yourself. You can also hop on a boat and explore the lake from the water. But my favourite part was simply being there — observing the lake, watching the swallows fly here and there, feeling the breeze, and reconnecting with myself. Sometimes, the most beautiful travel experiences are not about doing more, but about being present. Lake Sevan reminded me of that. #slowtravel
