The Capella Shanghai, Jian Ye Li is as exquisite as Shanghai itself

The hotel's hardware is the most exquisite and best maintained among the three I've stayed in. The room has five floors in total. The first floor is the living room and guest bathroom. The second floor is a mini home theater with a free minibar. The third floor is the bedroom and cloakroom. The fourth floor is the bathroom. The fifth floor is an open-air balcony, which I barely used due to the recent hot weather in Shanghai. The home theater was also not used much, but it looks beautiful when the window is open. The entrance on the first floor has two small chairs and prepared slippers. Fruits are replenished daily, which is very thoughtful. The large window in the bedroom, combined with the Shikumen architecture and green plants, is very beautiful. You can also hear the birds chirping. The overall atmosphere is not worse than the Bund view I stayed in a few days ago. The room is a bit inconvenient because of the many floors, but this is the feeling I want, so I can accept it. The only drawback is that the bathroom on the fourth floor is very cramped. I don't even know where to put my legs when I use the toilet. The toilet quality is average and the hot water comes very slowly. The hotel's service is very good. Check-in is in the sofa area and they serve tea. The staff are very friendly and enthusiastic. Every afternoon, there are free cakes and tea in the Capella Library. The key point is that there are few people in Capella, and I felt the long-lost quietness after coming from W. The hotel's breakfast is very average, with a full a la carte format and few choices. The taste is also average. The hotel's French restaurant is also average, but the good thing is that the set lunch is not expensive. You can come and try it for the environment and atmosphere. The location of Capella is very good, in the old city area. There are many places to walk around nearby, but the hotel entrance is very small, so you have to remind the driver. Overall, it is the best hotel I have stayed in Shanghai, but the price is indeed much more expensive than other hotels. So if you have a budget, you can go for it without hesitation. You won't be disappointed.
