Hiking the ancient Qingdao trail in Shaoxing

Considering the shorter loop of Rizhuling, we combined the Rizhuling and Wanshou Mountain trails for a total of 9 kilometers, starting from the 10-kilometer mark: walking and stopping until 160. Children aged 30, 5, and 7 were much stronger than we imagined. Drive to: Suosiqiao, where there is a parking lot. Rizhuling Ancient Trail: From Suosiqiao to Shangzhu. Wanshou Mountain Trail: From the top to Jinyu Village, take a taxi from Jinyu Village back to the starting point. This is the essence of the journey. Highlight 1: Wanshou Mountain Reservoir After walking for more than ten minutes from Shangzhu Village, we reached the Wanshou Mountain Reservoir. Climbing about 50 meters of stone steps to the top of the reservoir, an endless expanse of water came into view, like an uncarved piece of jade, lying there quietly, emitting a faint luster. A breeze passed by, causing ripples on the water surface, which, along with the swaying bamboo sea in the wind, looked like green ribbons fluttering gently, a sight too beautiful for words. Highlight 2: Experience hiking through various terrains Continuing forward, we entered the Wanshou Mountain trail. Don't be misled by the word 'trail'; in my opinion, this was a very simple health trail before it was built by later generations. In reality, it is a very wild and interesting hiking route, with climbing, descending, various terrains, stone steps, soft soil, large rocks, and streams, offering a rich experience. Imagine, in the bamboo forest, bamboos fall over, blocking your path, creating natural obstacles for the children, and having an orienteering race in the bamboo forest, which is really many times more fun than an indoor playground. Supplies along the way: There are stalls at Suosiqiao parking lot, Shangzhu Village, and Jinyu Village, but it is recommended to bring your own supplies. Transportation reminder: I called a Didi in Jinyu Village. The driver came from 9 kilometers away. He said it would not be easy to get a taxi later. After getting in the car, the driver said, 'I don't know what's interesting here.' It seems he didn't understand people like us who specifically travel from other places to hike, haha
