88 Stone Buddhas in the middle of nowhere!

#historicplaces Yangshan park is located in Shaoxing county. It’s a scenic spot with 88 Buddhas carved in stones and cliff. For millions of years, it has been exploited for the construction of the Qiantang River wall during the Ming & Tang dynasties. While exploring the park, I was thinking that this can be the perfect place to shoot a movie 🎥 Little did I know that the movie “Journey to the West” was actually shot there. If you walk up to the highest view point, you’ll have a look of the surroundings. The park is picturesque, but looks run down. The location is also remote.
