On Sunday, we had a day trip to Shenzhen. After having a good morning tea, a friend took us to the Shenzhen Civic Center and recommended the exhibition halls there for visiting. This was our first time staying in Shenzhen. We didn’t know much about this fast-developing city, but after a half-day visit, we gained a lot. It is finely designed and produced, and you can clearly see Shenzhen’s administrative divisions, mountains, ports, etc. Various display screens and models clearly introduce Shenzhen's development, planning and future design. There is also a giant screen exhibition room on the third floor, where we can immerse ourselves in Shenzhen’s 24-hour city life. Children play and roll around inside, enjoying the space to their heart's content. The fourth floor displays representative urban architectural models of Shenzhen, from the earliest King of Land Building to the China Resources "Spring Bamboo Shoot" shaped building, Ping An Financial Center, etc. The main tower of Ping An Financial Center has 118 floors (599 meters), which will become the second tallest building in China and the fifth tallest building in the world after its completion. There are also three children's interactive areas on the fifth floor exhibition area, where children can plan and build cities, draw projection screens, etc. Children can play there for a full hour and have a lot of fun. The Planning Museum has introduced a lot of digital technologies and interactive methods for display and introduction. The experience in this regard is great, and both adults and children can feel and understand it more intuitively.
