Matcha Mont Blanc & Japanese Café Vibes – A Slow Afternoon at Belle-Ville

#singaporetrip Tucked away at VivoCity, Belle-Ville Pancake & Coffee feels like a quiet escape from the bustle of the mall. The moment you step in, you’re welcomed by warm wooden tones, soft lighting, and a calm, homely atmosphere — almost like walking into a Japanese living room. It’s a small space, but thoughtfully designed, with that understated kind of charm that makes you want to linger just a little longer. I came for their seasonal Ohanami Matcha Mont Blanc Soufflé Pancakes — and they were just as dreamy as they looked. Light, airy, and so incredibly jiggly, they practically melted on the tongue. Each bite was a soft cloud, balanced by the rich, earthy matcha Mont Blanc cream piped over the top. On the side, there were chewy dango, sweet red bean, fresh strawberries, and a cold scoop of matcha ice cream — all the classic flavours of a Japanese dessert platter, brought together beautifully on one plate. Also gave their double egg sandwich a try — simple but comforting. Fluffy scrambled eggs, still warm and slightly creamy, packed between soft, toasted bread. It’s the kind of sandwich that doesn’t try too hard, but ends up being memorable because of how well it’s done. The Neapolitan pasta was another pleasant surprise. Tangy, sweet, and nostalgic, it reminded me of those Japanese-style spaghetti dishes you find in old-school cafés. A little retro, a little homely, and very satisfying. What stood out to me wasn’t just the food — it was the overall experience. The pace is slow, the staff are kind, and everything feels unhurried. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to take your time — sip a cup of tea, have a quiet chat, or just enjoy watching the pancakes jiggle as they arrive at your table. Belle-Ville isn’t flashy or overly trendy, but that’s part of its charm. If you’re around Vivo and want a little slice of calm, with soft pancakes and a bit of that Osaka café vibe, it’s definitely worth a visit.
