There are plenty of seats in the lobby and there is a space where you can plug in your power outlet and use your laptop. The atmosphere is fancy and modern. I wanted to check in early, but there were no rooms, so I just stored my luggage and checked in later. The hotel offers free luggage storage and a deposit of 1 AUD. It is located 20 minutes by bus from the Opera House, so it was not inconvenient to travel at all.
