Dongshan loquat season in Suzhou, a harvest full of sweet memories

🌸 This year's Dongshan in Suzhou has seen a bumper harvest of loquats! My sisters and I couldn't wait to drive there early in the morning on the weekend, just for the sweet taste of the Yushan loquats that melts in the heart! 🏞️ First, we arrived at "Luxiang Ancient Village," a hidden Ming and Qing dynasty village by the side of Taihu Lake, which seemed to take us back to the ancient water towns of the Jiangnan area. Strolling through the ancient alleys, we felt the weight of history, with every brick and tile telling an ancient story. 🌳 In the afternoon, we stepped into the loquat orchard to pick the ripe loquats ourselves. Under the sunlight, the golden loquats were tempting, and with a gentle pluck, the flesh was full and juicy, with a sweet taste that was truly intoxicating. 🍲 As evening approached, we visited "Twenty-Eight Li Taihu Boat Cuisine." In the four-story boat restaurant, not only could we taste the twelve flavors of Taihu Lake, but we could also dine while listening to Kunqu opera, as if we were part of a grand banquet on the water. I especially recommend their 'wind-dried meat and mandarin fish hot pot,' which is extremely delicious and leaves a lasting impression. 🌉 As night fell, we could also stroll on the world's largest structural wooden bridge, admiring the Suzhou Canal and the boats at night. The lights on the bridge were dazzling, reflecting off the surrounding scenery, as if we were in a beautiful painting. 💖 This trip to Dongshan in Suzhou for the loquat season was truly a perfect journey. Not only did we taste the authentic loquats, but we also experienced the charm of the ancient village and the beauty of Taihu Lake. I will come again!
