Bopiliao - takes you into the time tunnel

The origin of Bopiliao dates back to the 4th year of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty (1799 AD). It was called "Fu Pi Liao" at that time. In the 18th year of Daoguang's reign (1838 AD), it was renamed "Fu Di Liao". The street style of the Qing Dynasty and the archway houses of the Japanese colonial period are quite intact in the block. In 2003, the Taipei City Government launched the Bopiliao Old Street restoration project. It was not until 2009 that the entire Bopiliao Historic District was restored and officially opened to the public. When you walk to the intersection of Kangding Road and Guangzhou Street, you can see the signs on ancient buildings. Look at this walkway, with the sunlight shining down☀️, how beautiful it is! Coal was sold here in the past, and charcoal shops gathered here. Over time, the locals called this place Tutan City. However, it gradually declined due to road expansion. This place is located at the strategic point of Jiangtong, and most of the visitors to Xiuying Teahouse are Taipei Railway Station tricycle drivers. This intersection once again became a gathering place for tricycles. When we walked into the interior for a tour, the scene we saw was probably from the 1950s, 1970s, and 1970s. Things like wicker chairs, sewing machines, and telephones ☎️ hold memories of my childhood! Bopiliao will hold some exhibitions and activities from time to time. This day we saw a volunteer Beibei folding balloons🎈 for the children at the service center. The expectant eyes of the children are so cute! Leaving the service station and walking along the street, you can see cute and childlike graffiti on the walls. As I continue walking, the feeling of Qing Dynasty streets gradually disappears. The architectural style is different, more modern, There is an illusion of walking through a time tunnel, It is actually difficult to associate Bopiliao with the "Qing Dynasty" because of its artistic atmosphere. It reminds me more of the 1950s and 1960s.
