Self-driving in Taiyuan | A century-old abandoned church hidden in the mountains, with a guide

🧧This must be one of the few tourist spots during the Spring Festival where you don't have to queue, hidden in the mountains of Taiyuan, an abandoned church that has been around for a hundred years. ⛪️Built in 1921, it has a history of a hundred years. The local village was relocated as a whole, and the church could not be preserved, so a new one was built, and this one was left here to be abandoned, and decades have passed in a blink of an eye. One side of the church is still well preserved, while the other side has been partially demolished, looking like it has collapsed, but that's not the case. The church is currently not accessible, as it is located in a mountain gully with a brick and stone structure, it has been soaked in water for a long time, the supporting wood has rotted, and the surrounding area is overgrown with weeds. There are still traces of the villagers' past dwellings, including the rare cave dwellings. 🖊️The church is a Gothic building designed by Italians. Although it is already dilapidated, you can still see that its construction was very delicate, and you can find geometric shapes full of beauty with a casual snap. Interestingly, the two spires point straight to the sky, with a hollow cross in the middle. The afternoon sun can just pass through that hollow spot, as if it were a gathering of guidance and strength. 👣Route: From the parking lot, you can see the buildings in the gully from a distance. If you want to see the front up close, you need to enter through several gaps in the abandoned fence on the side of the parking lot house.
