Qiao Garden in Taizhou

Taizhou has three major gardens, Mei Garden, Peach Garden, and Qiao Garden, among which, Qiao Garden is the most historical garden in Taizhou, and one of the oldest private gardens in the northern Jiangsu region, known as the 'First Garden on the left side of the Huai River'. Qiao Garden was built during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, and it has a history of more than 400 years. There are many ancient trees and strange stones in the garden, most of which are relics from the Ming Dynasty. There is a 'Beauty Looking in the Mirror Stone' which is the treasure of Qiao Garden. It is a natural Taihu stone that is not spliced, 'thin, transparent, leaky, wrinkled', like a leaky window, seemingly transparent but not, playing the role of blocking and hiding the scene. There is also a Chinese juniper in the garden, which is estimated by scientific measurement to be as old as the garden. Qiao Garden is currently free of charge, and the tour time is about one hour.
