The current exhibition of Whitestone Gallery and MOT SELECT is quite different from the lively and colorful style in the past. The tone is much lighter and simpler, and the avant-garde and elegance coexist. Among them are romantic and profound paintings, modern outline single chairs, or tense forms. The relief texture attracted my attention. With color as the main axis, "About Color II - Italian Contemporary Artists Group Exhibition" combs through the creative trajectories of four important contemporary Italian artists, and integrates MOT SELECT's multiple sets of museum-level Italian classic design furniture to vividly present Italian aesthetics. Natale ADDAMIANO's acclaimed "Starry Sky" (I cieli stellate) series depicts romantic passion that is both subtle and poetic, and one cannot help but stare into the emotions that expand the dimensions of time and space. Turi SIMETI's iconic oval shape that is constantly repeated has great surface tension, and most of the works adopt a single color and stacking techniques, showing a sense of conflict of absolute silence, which is thought-provoking. In addition, I like Shiro Kuramata's "Sofa with Arms". He integrated Bauhausism with his own Eastern cultural perspective, using a metal tubular frame to outline a neat and streamlined geometry, and paired it with restrained indigo. Even though the design year was 1982, until Today it is still an elegant and modern chair.
