[Tokyo] Now is the best time to see cherry blossoms!

In early April, the cherry blossoms in Tokyo were in full bloom, so I went around Chidorigafuchi, Yasukuni Shrine, Sumida Park, and Edo Sakura Street. The cherry blossoms at Chidorigafuchi are spectacular, and the view of them hanging down over the water is very fantastic. You can enjoy it just by walking without taking a boat. It gets quite crowded, so I recommend going early in the morning! The collaboration between the Skytree and the cherry blossoms along the Sumida River is magnificent✨ At Edo Sakura Street, the rows of cherry trees blooming between the buildings create a city-like view that was more moving than I imagined! About 260 Yoshino cherry trees are planted here, and the park has been selected as one of Japan's Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots. You can enjoy a tunnel-like view of the cherry blossoms, and boat viewing is also popular. ● Yasukuni Shrine This shrine is home to a specimen tree that is the standard for cherry blossom blooming in Tokyo. About 500 cherry trees are planted within the grounds, and the park is crowded with many cherry blossom viewers every year. Founded in 1879, it is also famous as a historic site. ● Sumida Park A famous cherry blossom spot that has been around since the Edo period. Currently, it spans Sumida Ward and Taito Ward, and about 640 cherry trees are in bloom. The location where you can enjoy the view of the Sumida River and Tokyo Skytree at the same time is also attractive. ● Edo Sakura Street A row of cherry trees in the Otemachi/Nihonbashi area near Tokyo Station.
