The heart of Vienna, Austria

Famous attractions in Austria include St. Stephen's Cathedral (Stephansdom), Vienna State Opera (Vienna State Opera), Graben, Plague Column, etc. They are all located on the Ring Boulevard in the old town of the capital Vienna, and are very close to each other, thus forming a hidden area in the heart of Vienna. St. Stephen's Cathedral (Stephansdom) was expanded during the reign of Rudolf IV and has a history of nearly a thousand years. This church has a lofty status and is the cathedral of the Archdiocese of Vienna. The Vienna State Opera is known as the "World Opera Center" and is one of the four major opera houses in the world. Its architectural style is Neo-Renaissance, but it suffered heavy damage during World War II and was severely bombed. It was later rebuilt and now has over 2,200 seats.
