Vik - the Icelandic city of fire and water

📅 Itinerary Day1: Drive to Vik from Reykjavik, stop along the way to see majestic volcanoes, mountains and waterfalls. Arrive in Vik, stock up on groceries, visit black crust pizza or others. Day2: enjoy a lava show from the first in the world lava show company located in Vik. Visit the black sand beaches and hope to see some whales (we saw one along the shore). Enjoy seeing some puffins if visiting in summer. Go to Reynisfjara beach, Dyrhólaey is also close by for cliff views. Several other volcanoes which you can visit or waterfalls to see. Another night in Vik. Day3: Leave Vik and continue on towards Höfn. Enjoy the opening views of the glaciers, take a tour and a hike, also visit the glacier lagoon, diamond beach and volcanoes. See the sight of volcanoes covered in ice which are continuously erupting and due to an eruption already. Stay a night in Höfn or surrounding villages or streets off the ring road like Hof. 🏨 Accommodation : Vik cottages, Adventure Hotel Hof 🍴 Food Recommendations: black crust pizza 📌 Tips: be careful with the traffic as cars randomly stop or slow down.
