Travel guide for the Ancient Anshan Trail

The Ancient Anshan Trail, once the only way for villagers from Anshan Village, Jianguo Village, and others to enter and exit the mountains, fell into disuse after the new Pan Line highway into the village was built. In 2018, the old trail was restored. Regrettably, after the construction of the Jingling Reservoir, the Ancient Anshan Trail, which runs along the stream, will be submerged under water, disappearing forever from the world. 📍Navigate to: Xiaozhen Creek Village, Xinchang County, Shaoxing City (parking available) 🔅Easy route: Xiaozhen Creek Village - Flying Dragon Waterfall (round trip) The whole round trip is about 5km, the road is flat, the scenery along the way is beautiful, suitable for the elderly and beginners. The downside is that the stone road surface is uneven, so be extra careful. You can continue to walk up the mountain to Jianguo Village - Anshan Village from the Flying Dragon Waterfall, but it takes a long time, so we didn't go this time. Luckily, while wandering around Shangyouping Village, we accidentally took a photo of a small village on the opposite mountain top, which turned out to be Jianguo Village. TIPS: The best viewing time is after the rain, when the water is more abundant, it will look better. Although it was a bit dry this time, it was still very beautiful, and the Shao Creek was safer. The old trail is quite popular, and there are quite a few people who come to play on weekends. After three or four in the afternoon, there will be relatively fewer people; there are no supply points along the way, so try to bring enough water and food. More surrounding attractions: Gaolai Village, Houdai Village, Shikeng Village, Xikeng Village, Banzhu Village, Meizhu Ancient City, Waipokeng and other ancient villages; there are also attractions such as Chuanyan Nineteen Peaks, Baizhang Rock, Shixia Pit.
