Cruise Day 1: "Sails on the river under the bright moon gorge"~

The first stop on the first day of the Yichang to Chongqing cruise is the Three Gorges Tribe. The Three Gorges Tribe is divided into mountain homes, water homes, and creek-side homes, among which the most picturesque are the water and creek-side homes. The Three Gorges Tribe is located on the tranquil and beautiful banks of the Shennong Stream, which is at the big bend of the Xiling Gorge section between the Three Gorges Dam and the Gezhouba Dam. Because of the big turn, it is called Mingyue Bay, hence the line from Ouyang Xiu's poem "Sails on the river under the bright moon gorge". The original scenery of the Three Gorges might have been described as grand and serene, but with the construction of the Three Gorges Dam raising the water level by 175 meters, we now have the scenery as it appears today. 🚢What to see at the Three Gorges Tribe Halfway up the mountain, there are stilted buildings, and by the creek, there are small fishing boats, which are the authentic homes of the Three Gorges fishermen. Nets can still be seen by the creek, and from time to time, lovely girls dressed in Tujia ethnic costumes appear on the fishing boats and stone bridges, creating an incredibly beautiful scene. The water homes have ancient sailboats, and the nearby Chu Gorge Pavilion is uniquely exquisite, with the red and white lighthouses on the dock being particularly pretty. Creek-side homes have crying marriage performances on the stilted buildings at set times. The local specialty is Zigui oranges, and fresh-squeezed orange juice is sold at every door, with varying purity, please choose carefully. The hike is flat without steep climbs, there are some stairs, but the difficulty level of the hike is low.
