Sunset, sea of clouds, and you!

Accidentally stumbled into a sea of clouds, it was so beautiful I was speechless! If you want to camp, stargaze, and see the sunrise and sea of clouds in Guangdong, this place is worth a visit. The scenery is stunning. The attraction is free, and you can drive directly to the top of the mountain! 📍Shihuo'ao Windmill Mountain, Qianpai Town, Xinyi, Maoming ✔️Altitude: 1,432 m ✔️Camping available ✔️See the vast starry sky and Milky Way at night ✔️See the sunrise and spectacular sea of clouds during the day ✔️Take a photo and it looks like you're walking on clouds 1️⃣Camping: You can camp at the top of the mountain, but the fog is thick at night, visibility is low, and it's windy and cold. We don't recommend camping at the top of the mountain. We recommend camping at the Pangu Kaitian Temple parking lot at the foot of the mountain, where it's flat and less windy and foggy. You can also see the starry sky here. Drive up the mountain the next day (check the sunrise time and go early to get a good spot). If you don't want to camp overnight, you can leave early in the morning. There are no time restrictions for going up the mountain, so you can go anytime. 🧭Navigation: Pangu Kaitian Temple 2️⃣Sea of clouds: At the top of Shihuo'ao Mountain, you can see many windmills and a spectacular sea of clouds. Every windmill mountain is photogenic. We recommend going straight to the top of the mountain and then playing your way down. The first and second windmill mountains are great for photos. 🧭Navigation: Shihuo'ao or Baishi Parking Area (Yunmao Expressway, Maoming direction) 3️⃣Waterfall: After seeing the sea of clouds, you can go to Beisuo Waterfall in Dacheng Town. Drive along the river to the forest fire prevention sign. You can park 3 cars here, but the road is narrow and bumpy, and it's easy to scratch the branches on both sides. Cars can barely pass. If you're not driving, you can walk down, which takes about 2–3 km. Then take the small dirt road next to it to walk down to the waterfall. It's spectacular. This place is small and hard to find, but the scenery is beautiful! 🧭Navigation: Beisuo Village, Dacheng 4️⃣Food and accommodation: You can eat and stay in Qianpai Town, which is quite busy. 🚗Transportation: We recommend driving. There are many mountain and stone roads. Sedans can go up, but we recommend driving an SUV.
