[China] Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport, the hub airport of China Southern Airlines

Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport in Henan Province, China This is a hub for China Southern Airlines, serving many domestic and international flights. The airport is so spacious that airport staff use Luups (electric scooters) and Segways to get around. Considering its size, there aren't many duty-free shops or restaurants. There are plenty of napping pods to take advantage of the space (35 NTD for 30 minutes). There's a 7-Eleven inside the boarding gate after security. They offer rice balls, sandwiches, and sweets similar to those in Japan, and are quite reasonably priced. By the way, China Southern Airlines offers a variety of options for long transit trips. Free accommodation is offered to travelers. The airport requires advance reservations via a dedicated phone number. If you don't speak Chinese or have other special circumstances, it's best to contact a travel agency (I couldn't find a reception desk at the airport). In my case, I requested accommodation through Trip.com Customer Service. The airport hotel is located about a 10-minute shuttle ride from the airport. Breakfast is included. If you're traveling alone, you'll share a twin room with someone else (if you prefer a single room, you'll pay the difference).
