I will come back one day for sure, 3 days 2 nights is not sufficient! What more day trip! This place is really magical. You get a different views of the Mount Fuji in different parks and lakes. Even in my room the view was breathtaking enough! I must say… 🚌travelling around with the sightseeing pass was easy. You can get a map at Kawaguchiko station then decide which location you would like to visit. There are 3 lines of buses for north area (red, blue, green). Just hop on the buses according to the maps. There are 3 lines of business for east area (F, A and C). Here are the 2 passes! 1️⃣ The north area pass covers Lake Kawaguchiko, Lake Motosu, Lake Saiko and Lake Shoji. 2️⃣ The east area pass covers Lake Yamanakako. You can purchase the passes at the counter or via Japan Transit app! We spent a night at Kawaguchiko to view Mount Fuji. Booked Hotel Kaneyamaen and it really didn’t disappoint. Hotel staff is very friendly and staff is all dressed in Kimono, giving the Japanese vibe. The hotel is huge, there is a garden with lake, wine lounge, spacious lobby and public onsen. You can spend a whole day here. We booked the Sanri room that comes with a private open air onsen with the view of Mount Fuji and the room is very spacious. Love the bay window that overlooks the Mount Fuji. There is a drum show every night at the hotel lobby and it is a nice entertainment for their guests. The hotel also provides complimentary breakfast and kaiseki dinner. Dinner is sumptuous and service is great. For the breakfast, there is a wide spread of food ranging from soba, udon, sashimi, origiri, chawanmushi, warabimochi and many more. #japantrip While we tackled the steep stairs, the concrete path provided ease, especially for families with strollers. Luck was on our side as we were greeted by the magnificent sight of Mt. Fuji in all its glory. Despite the weekend rush, the crowds were manageable, allowing us to snap some incredible photos by the shrine. Being so close to Mt. Fuji left us in absolute awe. Parking was free and there were attendants everywhere directing tourists to the parking spots and the trail.

This waterfall is caused by meltwater from Mount Fuji gushing out from the cliff at the boundary between the upper layer, the Shin-Fuji Volcanic Formation, which allows water to pass through, and the lower part, the old Fuji Volcanic Formation, which does not allow water to pass through. Hundreds of waterfalls, large and small, cascade down from a curved cliff 20 meters high and 150 meters wide. Its appearance is worthy of the name Shiraito (little threads)as it appears to be dripping with many threads of silk. It has a gentle, feminine beauty, and when you stand near the basin of the waterfall, the water arches on three sides create a fantastical world." It's a National scenic spot and Natural Monument in Japan. Next to Shiraito Falls, there is also beautiful, large, Otodome Falls. We followed signs by the falls to a Nature Park and stumbled upon a large playground as well. 🚗 Plenty of parking available for visitors. The paths to the falls are paved with many stairs to get down to the falls. There are souvenirs, cafes, shops and bathrooms next to the parking lot. Plus many great photo spots!
