The Austrian Wachau Valley is the most beautiful and deep part of the Danube Valley. Wachau is part of the Danube Valley, between Melk and Krems, and is an attractive tourist destination. It preserves the traces that have been clearly visible in the region since its prehistoric period, including architecture (monasteries, castles and sites), urban planning (towns and villages) and agricultural facilities mainly used for wine growing.

Traditional Austrian Danube tour is a train from Vienna to Meck, you can visit the Melk Abbey first, then take a boat tour of the Wachau Valley on the Danube, and after the Krems ashore, you can also hike in the town for a while. Finally, take the train back to Vienna.
