#newyearadventure Bukit Keluang is a hill beside the sea. We can see Perhentian Islands from here as well. And there also some boat vendor are providing the daily trip to pulau perhentian from here. This beautiful long sandy public beach is located about 6 km south of the town of Kuala Besut which is where travellers catch boats to the Perhentian Islands. It is safe to swim here when it is not in a moonsun season. The beach is a popular spot for family activitirs, picnics, camping and enjoying sunsets . you also cam ride a banana boat to nearby island like Pulau Rhuwhich you can enjoy snorkeling activities. There are also a few caves that you may want to explore which one of the rare thing of Bukit Keluang beach. There is sufficient and free parking provided so do need to worry. Of course It may be crowded during weekend n public holidays. Getting There - It is located about 5km south of Kuala Besut (a gateway to Perhentian Islands). Do use your own transport or rent a car as the public transports are not reliable. Attractions -1) Has one of the best coastal scenery in Malaysia with beautiful beaches and yet to be explored or commercialised. 2) A 140-meter hill with a magnificent view over the South China Sea. Remind us of those popular spot in Kelinking Beach in Bali. #myhiddengems There were some wildlife sighted such as squirrel, monitor lizard and colourful birds. Along the trail, especially around the top of the hill, there were several rubbish bin provided and no rubbish was seen strewn along the trail.. The hike took around 30 min or more, and in my opinion, is one of the best short hikes in Malaysia. At the foothill, there was a toilet and a row of stalls selling foods and drinks. Bukit Keluang Beach was just within a short walking distance, where shades and huts with seats could be found.

#malaysiatrip The view is stunning and worth the hike. The climb from Bukit Keluang sign takes about 20 to 30 minutes for people who are not used to hiking and also the elderly. The track is not too challenging. At the top there is a covered area and also benches. Be careful if you bring bags because there are monkeys. Beautiful hike with a very rewarding view! Took about 20 minutes to reach the peak, with quite a steep climb. The height of the hill is about 120 meters. The best time is to go in the morning.

Along the beach, there are some great spots for those who likes a little adventure activity. We walked through the narrow path of the rocky cave and encountered some bats flying around over our heads. We walked until the end of the tunnel and there were no one there, so it’s a great spot for those who want to have their own space for swimming and sunbathing.

Pantai Bukit Keluang Beach in Terengganu, Malaysia is a beautiful tourist destination. There are pleasant beaches, spectacular mountains and clear waters here. Cannot be called glamping as portable ac weren’t provided..but the air breeze is there from the beach! Vidalido camp tent is set that can suit up to 4 peoples. You can add on bed set that includes comfy mattress, pillow and blanket for only rm20!! Sure can pull smile on your face on this staycation ;)
