#One-day trip plan - We started the trip from Namba city. Take the subway to Osaka Station. Then take the JR Tokaido-Sanyo Line. Get off at Shin-Nakata Station to go to the first location. Gigantor Monument, a large robot. Named Tetsujin, Iron Man No. 28. - Then take the train to Hugo Station. Then walk to the Great Buddha, Hugo Big Buddha. - Walk back and take the train again to Motomachi Station. Walk to walk around and find something to eat in Kobe Chinatown. After eating, continue traveling. - Stop by the Blue Bottle Coffee Kobe branch. - Walk to Kobe Port Tower to see the view of Kobe's port city. After short metro trip from airport to downtown our exploring of Kobe started from city center because our hotel was next to Sannomiya station. Kobe is not big city and you can explore pretty much everything by walking around. We started with Sorakuen garden which is so peaceful and relaxing and after that of course we tried delicious Ramen, followed by walking around downtown, have coffee, checking architecture, small shops and etc. until evening. Day two was reserved for Kobe Port where are Kobe Tower, Be Kobe mark, cruise ships, big shopping mall and park. For dinner we tried Kobe Beef and one more time I must say food was delicious 😁 If you have more free time you should definitely visit Venus Bridge, football game of FC Kobe, Futabai Park and Herb Museum. #kobe #kobebeef #kobetrip #ramen #japan

I was taken here by a local on a trip to Kobe. The brightly colored bricks of this building are eye-catching. The weathercock standing on the spire is well known and is an indispensable symbol of Kitano Town. The interior is very retro and cute, incorporating traditional German style. It is definitely worth a stop when you come to Kobe. After completing the Shikoku pilgrimage, today we took a ferry to Kobe. The total journey took about 4.5 hours, with a free seating fare of ¥2990 (1 adult + 1 bicycle). Tomorrow, we will visit Toji Temple in Kyoto and Kongobuji Temple in Koyasan to commemorate the 1250th anniversary of the birth of Kobo Daishi. We plan to stay in Kobe for three nights, visiting famous nearby attractions. After that, we will embark on a 20-day cycling tour of the Seto Inland Sea, starting from Kobe, passing through Akashi, Himeji, Okayama, Onomichi, Hiroshima (Miyajima), and Okunoshima. We will then travel through the Shimanami Kaido (Mukaishima, Innoshima, Ikuchijima, Omishima, Hakatajima, Oshima) to reach Imabari and Shikokuchuo City, finally returning to Takamatsu. We will then take a ferry to Shodoshima for a three-day vacation, fully enjoying the beautiful scenery of the Seto Inland Sea. This is a long-established yakiniku restaurant located opposite Suma Sea World, a new Kobe attraction. I visited at lunchtime, and the lunch using Kobe beef was surprisingly good value for money! You can eat skirt steak for less than 2,000 yen excluding tax. This time, I ordered one portion each of loin and skirt steak. It came with salad, a small side dish, and kimchi, so the price was too good! It was so delicious that I was interested in other menu items, and I ordered cold noodles, which were also good value for money, starting from 500 yen. Merikan Steak and Grill is a steak house serving the famous Kobe beef. It is located in the Motomachidori shopping district but on a side street, so it is necessary to look carefully to reach the place. It is a small restaurant with less than 20 seats and reservation in advance is highly recommended. Merikan Hatoba serves only A5 Kobe beef, so the few sets on the menu basically offers the beef by weight - ie 100g, 150g or 200g. The chef managed the kitchen by himself, while another waitress served customers. We ordered the sets and within 15 minutes the beef steaks were ready! The garden is located on the top of the mountain that you have to ride on to the cable car. When you reach the top, you will see a few food stalls, a restaurant, a cafe, gift shops, a perfume museum, and some workshops. There is a path you can walk down, and you’ll see a lot of plants, flowers, and different types of herbs. They have a resting area full of swing beds, and it was so comfortable. The most exciting part is the free foot spa, which is actually an onsen. The heated spring water comes from this mountain, which is very famous in Kobe. That time I went there, it was in the winter, so it was perfect for me to try that onsen, you will have to pay 100 yen for the clean towel. While you are in the onsen, you can relax, enjoy the amazing view, and take a deep breath. The people recommend not soaking yourself for too long, about 10–15 minutes. I love this place so much that I went there twice, so I do recommend it to you guys and I hope you will enjoy.
