The Indian deserts without heaters were torturous because it was cold. But luckily there was a blanket. Not sure what kind of blanket it was, but the texture was like some kind of animal fur and it kept us warm without the need for a heater. This little mole-like creature is called Mermot. It is so cute and tame. But here, you should cover it with food because once it eats, it will wait to eat again and then it will hibernate and will not come out even though it is not its hibernation season. It might hibernate in the wrong season and come out during the winter. It might get stiff. So, do not feed it at all. But is it okay to live or eat flowers? This is very confusing. Diskit Monastery is the oldest and largest Buddhist monastery in Diskit in the Nubra Valley in the Leh district of Ladakh, India. It houses a large 32-meter-high statue of Maitreya Buddha, or ‘Champa’ as Tibetans call it. The statue faces the Shyok River towards Pakistan. Upon ascending the statue, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the surrounding valleys, over 6000 meters high. #TravelAbroad

Nubra valley is a small village located north of Leh, bordering Pakistan, about 6-7 hours from Leh. There is a silver desert called Hunder where you can rent a camel to ride and enjoy the view surrounded by mountains over 6000 meters high.
