Lake Garda, Italy 🌊 MALCESINE
#Overseas Travel
There are many beautiful and charming lakeside towns along Lake Garda. Today I went to a quaint town on the east side of the lake called Malcesine.
This Malcesine is very exquisite, with a clear and green lakeshore, giving visitors a sense of tranquility and leisure.
The most attractive thing about this town is the piles of red brick European-style roofs, which preserve the sense of history here. There is a castle standing by the lake, which is the symbol of this place.
There are many restaurants, hotels, and small shops by the lake, where visitors can enjoy meals, stroll around, look at the lake view, breathe in the fresh air, and relax.

Enjoy the lake view from the Malcesine Castle in Italy
#Overseas Travel
In the lakeside town of Malcesine on the east shore of Lake Garda, the largest lake in Italy, there is a medieval castle, Castello Scaligero di Malcesine, where you can climb up the castle tower to enjoy the scenery.
The castle was built around the 13th century and is very quaint. Climb up several flights of stairs to reach the top of the tower in one go! From this high point you can enjoy a panoramic view of Malcesine, with its red brick houses everywhere. There is also a natural history museum and some small exhibition halls in the castle.
The wind is cool and the scenery is beautiful!

Climb Mont Blanc, Italy's highest mountain
#High-altitude viewing #Overseas travel
🇮🇹Monte Bianco, the highest mountain in Italy, is 4,810 meters above sea level and is also the highest peak in Europe.
If you want to climb the highest peak in Italy, you can take the mountain cable car Skyway🚠 from the small town of Courmayeur at the foot of the mountain to the observation deck at an altitude of 3,466 meters. There are also restaurants on the mountain.
Because of the heavy snowstorm, the entire Alps became white in every angle 360 degrees after we went up the mountain. However, at an altitude of 11,000 feet, the soft snowflakes were floating, and the piles of snow under my feet always felt particularly fine, white and smooth. No matter what the weather was, it couldn't hide my excitement.

Lake Garda, Italy: Climbing Monte Baldo at 1,760 meters above sea level
#High-altitude viewing #Overseas travel
To see the more beautiful views of Malcesine and Garda Lake, you must take a cable car up the mountain!
Take the cable car from Malcesine to Monte Baldo, 1,760 meters above sea level. The scenery is super beautiful, especially on sunny days!
Each crane carries about 40-60 people, and everyone has to stand. Only by standing at the window can you see the beautiful scenery. The cable car will slowly slide along the way, allowing visitors to see a 360-degree view!
Going up all the way, you can see the red brick roofs of Malcesine and the lake reflecting the sunlight. After about a 20-minute journey, you will reach the top of Monte Baldo!
This is a popular spot for hikers, mountain bikers and parachutists, and it becomes a ski resort in winter. As soon as you exit the station, you can see rows of Alps Mountains! Very spectacular!

Malcesine
Malcesine is a town on the north-east shore of Lake Garda, so in the Veneto region of Italy. One of the prettiest and most popular towns on the lake, Malcesine is visited for the town and lakeside activities, the castle and also for the easy access to the mountain behind the town which can be reached via a cable-car.
The main centre of Malcesine is on the shores of the lake and easy to explore. The tourist office is at 6 Via Capitanato near the harbour and is a good place to start your visit - to get here follow Corso Garibaldi west from the roundabout on the main road that passes next to the town and tha main car park, then turn left when you get almost to the lake.
Also on Via Capitanato you can see one of the most important buildings in Malcesine, the Palazzo dei Capitani, built by the Scaliger family in the 13th century and beautifully restored in the 15th century. You can enter the palace and see the small garden on the edge of the lake behind the building.
From here it is a short walk to the harbour, a very charming small port surrounded by colourful buildings and with a few small boats (large boats are not allowed to enter). This is one of the most picturesque ports on Lake Garda, as well as being the embarcation point for boats across the lake.
Most of the old town of Malcesine is to the north of here, so stroll black along Via Capitano and across into the alley that leads to Porto Vecchio. This small port is no longer active with boats but is another very lovely small square with views across the lake.
From here you can continue into the cobbled streets of the old town to explore the oldest part of Malcesine. There are two squares - the Piazza Turazza and the Piazza Cavour - and lots of small streets and alleys in this part of the village.

Spent 3 days at Garda lake 🇮🇹
#italytrip
Spending three days at Lake Garda in Italy was an absolute dream! 🏞️ This stunning lake, surrounded by picturesque towns, lush mountains, and olive groves, is perfect for anyone looking to relax and soak up the natural beauty of Italy. On my first day, I explored Sirmione, a charming town located on a narrow peninsula that stretches out into the lake. The Scaliger Castle, with its impressive moat, is a must-visit. Entry was about €6, and the views from the top were breathtaking! 🏰 Afterward, I took a dip in the thermal waters at Aquaria Thermal Spa, which was the perfect way to unwind.
Day two was all about adventure! I took a ferry to Malcesine and went up Monte Baldo on the cable car (around €22 round trip). The ride offered panoramic views of the lake and the Alps that were simply unforgettable. 🌄 At the top, I did some light hiking and even paragliding for the first time – what a thrill! Later, I strolled through Malcesine’s medieval streets, enjoying gelato and shopping for souvenirs. 🍦
On my last day, I visited Riva del Garda, on the northern tip of the lake. The atmosphere here was more laid-back. I rented a bike and rode along the scenic trails by the water, then relaxed with a delicious seafood lunch at a lakeside restaurant. The combination of crystal-clear water, historic towns, and outdoor activities makes Lake Garda the perfect getaway! 🌅 #trip #LakeGarda #ItalyAdventure #Sirmione #MonteBaldo #LakesideLiving

It’s a picturesque tourist resort with cobbled lanes and a castle, crammed between the blue lake waters and the massive mountain ridge behind, Monte Baldo. In the summer months Malcesine is a hive of innocent hedonism, packed with pottering holidaymakers gorging on ice cream and sunseekers draped along the lake shore.

A medieval town by Lake Garda
These past two years, the fairy-tale worlds in Europe have become increasingly scarce, huh. At the beginning of September, during my travels in Italy, I discovered a small town📍Malcesine, which still retains some of that feeling. Malcesine is located on the northeastern side of Italy's largest lake, Lake Garda.
❤Walking on the cobblestone streets of Malcesine is a pleasure in itself, as if you are in a fairy-tale world.
📝The history of this small town dates back to the Middle Ages, with the castle built by the powerful Scaligeri family of Verona, its tall towers standing on the rocks, overlooking the entire town. From the top of the castle tower, overlooking the town and the lake, time seems to stop. The old houses, narrow alleys, corner squares, orange rooftops, and the castle all exude a medieval atmosphere.
If you travel to Italy, this small town is worth visiting; it is 60 kilometers from Verona and 200 kilometers from Venice.
