Nishiizu Dogashima Onsen This time I stayed in a room with an open-air bath. The weather wasn't so good, but the sunset was beautiful and I was moved✨ The inn is built on a cliff, so I would definitely recommend experiencing the open-air bath while feeling the power of the sea. I went to Sawada Park Open-Air Bath in Izu! You can park your car in the free parking lot and pay 600 yen per person at the reception desk in the hut in the parking lot. The weather was very nice and you could see the horizon. However, the wind was strong and it was a little cold. There wasn't much information on the website, so I'll post some information that may be useful♪ - The changing room was small, about 1-2 tatami mats. - Coin lockers are available for 100 yen. - There is no shampoo, so if you really want to wash your body with soap, I recommend bringing your own! - There is one shower, but it's too cold in winter to take a shower (lol). If you have a strong wind, all the water will fly away. - Everyone used the bucket in the changing room to lightly wash off the dirt from their bodies before taking a bath. The second floor is a souvenir shop, and the third floor has materials related to Yuzo Kayama's upbringing and work, as well as railway and ship models. To be honest, I didn't know much about Yuzo Kayama, I went in to buy souvenirs, but it was such a wonderful place that I enjoyed it and it's in my top three of my trip to Shizuoka. It seems to be closing on August 31st, but now you can enter for free!! I definitely recommend you go! I had business in Shizuoka, so I stayed there that day. The next day, I took a boat from Shimizu to Izu. I used the Izu Dream Pass to get from Shimizu to Izu. As soon as I arrived, I was served tokoroten and tea in my room. The staff were all very polite and greeted me with a smile, which made me very happy. The hotel bath had a view of the Dogashima tombolo right in front of it, and if it was a time when there were not many people, I could enjoy the magnificent view by myself, which was great. The dinner menu was also very filling, and I was full! It was very delicious and luxurious! Women could choose from a wide variety of yukatas, so I was able to choose the one I liked. The next day it was raining, but the hotel car took me to a nearby bus stop, so I was able to spend the day without getting wet. The nearby Kayama Yuzo Museum was a wonderful place that even people who don't know much about Kayama Yuzo can enjoy. It seems that it will be gone around summer this year, so if you haven't been there yet, I recommend you go at least once. It was my first time in Izu, and it was a wonderful place. I would definitely like to stay at this inn again.
