[2025 West Airports] Travel Guide for Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (Updated Jun)

I recently flew out of Zanzibar airport late at night on an international flight. The terminal was quiet but the shops and restaurants were still open. They included duty free, a jewellery shop and a souvenir shop. There are 2 restaurants there with one of them offering a bigger selection of food and alcohol. The gates are very close together and information is announced regularly. They also have free wifi #mytripvlog #urbanexplorer

this airport is very small and doesn't look like Doha in Qatar ( I could pay for a ticket on quarter airlines during my stay in Bangkok Thailand - that's why it comes to east Africa). The wooden furniture at the airport looks like it needs renovation. the ceiling at the airport is the worst i ever seen on my "travel around the world" trip. The person on the main entrance told me that we were allowed to enter 2h before our flight but I received notification from trip.com app that we need to be 3 hours before. looks like they need training about Custer service. #couplestrip #Africa
