Designated as a national park The National Park Division, Royal Forest Department, has ordered officials to establish both forest areas as national parks since 1984 and has submitted the proposal to the National Park Committee, which resolved in the 2/1988 meeting on 19 October 1988 to approve the designation of the Budo Mountain Range, Su-ngai Padi Mountain Range, Bajoe District, Yi-ngo District, Rueso District, Su-ngai Padi District, Chanae District, Sukhirin District, Narathiwat Province, Raman District, Yala Province and Apho Sub-district, Pattani Province, covering an area of approximately 293.7 square kilometers or 183,56.5 rai, as national parks.
Currently, the National Park Division is in the process of issuing a royal decree to designate the said areas as national parks in accordance with the National Park Act of 1961.
