It is said that these Buddha statues were originally located in the Yeonjesa Temple founded by Dosun Guoshi of Xingdeok, North Jeolla Province. It was not until the 7th year of Emperor Gaozong's reign that Zen Master Xuedou rebuilt Fojia Temple and then moved it from the abandoned Yuanqi Temple to its current location! As soon as you enter Bulgapsa Temple, you will first see the dense natural woods formed around Iljumun, followed by the various main halls of Bulgapsa Temple, the most conspicuous one being Bulgapsa Main Hall. If you want to feel the Zen of nature, this is definitely the place to visit. It’s a great place~!

Since the upcoming Yeonggwang Fall Festival, the Sangsahwa Flower Festival, is being held, It's still early, but I went before more people gather😉 ✔️ There were many places where flowers were in full bloom even before the festival ✔️ There were many different foods in front of Bulgapsa ✔️ In particular, 1,000 won for a glass of makgeolli!!! The owner was so kind that he gave me a glass of makgeolli😉 ✔️ It's the best to look at the Sangsahwa flowers in full bloom & take pictures, see the magnificent stone statues at Bulgapsa Temple, and slowly come down to have a glass of makgeolli! I recommend a glass of makgeolli at the Yeonggwang Bulgapsa Sangsahwa Festival!
