Off-the-beaten-path destination
㊙️Hidden gems, it's not time that passes, it's us❗️
·🌟Attraction: Dajue Temple
🌿Playtime: 2.5 hours
💰Ticket price: 20 yuan, Beijing Dajue Temple
·🏮The temples that have gone through five dynasties: Qingshui Temple (Liao and Jin), Lingquan Temple (Yuan), and Dajue Temple (Ming and Qing)
·🌿On the left side of the entrance to the exhibition hall of the place where Emperor Qianlong visited multiple times, there is an introduction to his love for Dajue Temple. He not only repaired it, but also wrote numerous poems and inscribed several plaques with his own hand.✏️
One of the plaques is called "Nowhere to Come or Go", which comes from Buddhist scriptures, "All phenomena are unchanging, with nowhere to come or go." Going out to see the magnolia again, whether the flowers bloom or wither, is it time passing or us passing? ❓
·🌸During the blooming season of the century-old magnolia, this century-old magnolia is located in Siyi Hall. It is said that it is the most famous in the capital when it blooms. When I first saw the magnolia, it had already withered a bit. It is relatively short, but truly pure white like snow, and its height is very suitable for viewing. ❄️ There is also a spring-watching magnolia next to it, which has almost withered. It is said that when one withers, the other blooms, and vice versa. It is truly a place full of Buddhist teachings. There are also several "purple magnolias" 💜 elsewhere.
·🪨The mystery of Master Jialan It is said that this ancient jade orchid was planted by Master Jialing. This Master Jialing is a mysterious figure. He was sent by Emperor Yongzheng to be the abbot of Dajue Temple, and even carved a stone tablet in front of the temple. At that time, I was wondering if this master helped him seize the throne. After all, it is very difficult for the ninth son to succeed to the throne.
·🎋The most exciting part of visiting the Back Mountain Garden is the Back Mountain Garden itself. The rocks and mountains are stacked in a playful way, and you may not know which way to go at first. If you follow the path on the left, you will come across a long corridor where you can see ancient magnolia trees and an old palace next to it. The style of the corridor is clearly from the Qianlong period 😄 If you follow the path on the right, you will find a bamboo forest that looks like ordinary bamboo, but the warning signs make you feel scared and worried that there might be snakes in the forest. Keep walking and you will pass by ginkgo trees, flowers, and golden bamboo, which offer a breathtaking view of the temple scenery ✨
