Best Things to DoNo.1 of Best Things to Do in Rongjiang
Dali Dong Village is located in the east of Rongjiang County, 23 kilometers away from the county. The village has a total of 238 households with 1139 people, all of whom are of the Dong nationality. The main landscapes of the Dali Dong Village include the ancient slate road built in the 58th year of Emperor Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty, five Dong wind and rain bridges, a magnificent Dong courtyard and a unique drying barn. The village is surrounded by lush ancient trees, with more than 400 ancient Nanmu trees, which reflects the traditional concept of "the old people protect the village, and the ancient trees protect the village" that the people of Dong village are in harmony with nature. The houses in the village are all three-height and four-height wooden buildings with railings. There are 5 wind and rain bridges of different sizes and styles in the village. They have wooden structures and blue tile roofs, all of which have a history of a hundred years. It is paved with bluestone, neat and clean; the ancient trees around the stockade are towering, and the ecological environment remains intact. Dali is very quiet, there are no guests, the villagers are very friendly, and they will respond with a smile if they take the initiative to show their goodwill. During the bayberry season, farmers returning from the road will take the initiative to taste bayberry to tourists.
