Tracking Down Fort Tigne
Fort Tigne is it really fascinating! It was built by the Knights of the Order of St John on the island of Malta between 1793 and 1795 to protect the entrance to the harbour. It’s one of the oldest polygon forts in the world and actually remained in use until 1979. Sadly, it is temporarily closed at the moment so only can be partially viewed. However, the fort stands in real contest to the modern buildings around, there were also beautiful gardens in the area to be enjoyed.
