Osaka is actually a great place for eating, drinking, and having fun. This time, I’m recommending a relaxed 2-day 1-night free travel itinerary for your reference~ Day 1 mainly focuses on visiting a theme park. I believe the super popular Universal Studios Osaka is definitely a place that can captivate people of all ages~ On Day 2, we’ll explore a shopping street in the city center🤣
Day 1
Before entering the park, you can take the JR West Sakurajima Line to Universal Studios Station. It’s a good idea to have breakfast first, so you can head straight to the attractions after entering~ Before you go, you can pre-purchase the tickets that suit you and download the official app, so you can check the queue status of each attraction anytime, anywhere, which naturally saves a lot of waiting time😉
Universal Studios Osaka is divided into 10 themed areas: Minion Park, Universal Wonderland, New York Area, Hollywood Area, San Francisco Area, Jurassic Park, Friendly Village, and WaterWorld. Of course, the most popular Harry Potter Wizarding World and Super Nintendo World are must-sees😍 Some areas have various rides to enjoy, and if you prefer something more relaxed, you can watch the parade, which features different themes during various festivals🤓
Since my friends are Harry Potter fans, we went straight to the Harry Potter area first. Seeing the Hogwarts castle architecture and street decorations inside really felt like a highly authentic recreation; besides that, the park has brought the movie’s shops and restaurants to life, so you can even drink the famous Butterbeer loved by young wizards in the movie. After drinking, you can keep the cup as a souvenir😋 It really feels like being in the magical world😻
After visiting the Harry Potter area, we went to Minion Park to watch a Minions show, and then to the Hollywood area to ride a backward roller coaster🎢, which was a unique experience. We also watched two parades, one during the day and one at night, which were truly spectacular😎 There are many restaurants and snack stalls inside the park, so if you get hungry, you can easily grab something to eat~
Actually, I hadn’t been to a theme park for a long time, and the atmosphere inside really makes you feel relaxed and refreshed, letting you temporarily put aside your worries👍🏿 Before I knew it, we played until dark, then headed back to the city for dinner. A warm reminder to check what items are not allowed inside the park😉

After leaving the park and taking the JR back to the city, we found a small izakaya near the hotel. Inside, we saw several local customers chilling, clearly this wasn’t a typical tourist restaurant, but we wanted to experience what kind of izakaya locals go to after work🤭
Although we didn’t speak the same language, the staff were very enthusiastic in recommending dishes. In the end, every dish we ordered felt like opening a mystery box, full of surprises~ Even though this wasn’t a high-end restaurant, the food they recommended was of very good quality😋 Then we went back to the hotel to rest😴
Day 2
In the morning, we went to Kuromon Market, an old market in the Namba area, known as Osaka’s kitchen. This market mainly sells fresh seafood, high-quality wagyu beef, and agricultural products. Because their products are relatively high quality, many restaurants come here to purchase supplies~ We also bought some seafood to try, and the quality was indeed excellent🤤 Then we went to a nearby restaurant specializing in rice bowls and ramen called Yakiniku Don Tenjin. Their grilled meat rice bowl was very juicy, and dipping it in egg yolk made it even more satisfying😻
After eating, it was time to start shopping~ Kuromon Market is very close to Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi, which have many popular photo spots and lots of souvenir shops. I believe everyone will be tempted to shop a lot when they come here🤣
